808 Kick/Bass on Roland Fantom-X

Hi guys,

i am curious as to how we can get that 808 bass sound on the fantom. u know the one that layers on top of the 808 kick?

anwyays, which synth bass patch is it on the fantom x?

id REALLLLLLY appreciate the help and info.

doesn't that keyboard have a usb plug so that you can drag sounds on to the fantom from your computer?
 
you can get 808 drums including the bass drum from fantomized.com

but, those are only the kicks themselves.

is there a synth bass patch for just the bassline part?
 
Yo there is a synth bass called subsonic.. I think. drop the octave to -1 and play it at the low end. Play with the release and the cutoff to tweak it to your taste, but that should do it for you.
 
I'm telling ya, if you know how to program your Fantom use a Sine Wave! Give it a long decay, a long release, and no sustain. Make it a monophonic instrument so the tone doesn't over lap. You will get a pure bass hit that will rattle your neighbors house and it will be in key so you can even use it a bass line. This can be done on any synth that has a Sine wave or you can fake it by filtering a Saw or Square Wave.
