RME FF800 over 02r

thinking of selling my O2R and buying a RME FF800 interface.
I only use the desk for drum machine and synth inputs, and a mic.

i was thinking of hooking up the rme to a patchbay, because i rarely record more than 8 channels at the same time, i can just patch what i need to the inputs.

any thoughts on this setup?

The O2r is a nice Board and you can do some summing, depends on what you really want out of your setup and Future expansion...

Something that caught my eye was the mention of summing .
I thought the 02 was a digital console , wouldn't that exclude it from being a summing device (they are analogue , that's the point) ?
