What are the best computers/laptops $1,000 or under for music production?

Ive been just messing around for a few years now.. Ive had the cheap $250 Walmart Black Friday computers and ive found that after a few years they get really slow or crash completely and I have lost music that way... But now im looking to step it up a bit and get a better computer.. I just plan on making beats and recording some songs nothing to extreme... I plan on having 2 DAWS, FL Studios and Presonus Studio One, and would like to have maybe a half a dozen VST'S like Massive and Nexus, and 10-20 sound kits... I really know very little about computer.. So any advice would be appreciated also I am only considering PC's because I have never used a Mac and I don't want to spend time learning how to use one...

I would suggest to build a custom PC.

01) Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
02) AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
03) be quiet! Dark Rock 3
04) Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4-2666 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit (2x8GB)
05) Asus Prime B350-Plus
06) Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB
07) Seagate BarraCuda ST1000DM010 1TB 64MB Cache
08) LG GH24NSD1
09) MSI GeForce GT 710 1GD3H LP
10) be quiet! Straight Power 10 Non-Modular 80+ Gold
11) be quiet! Silent Base 600

Have fun! :)

If asking for something to do a pretty big project at 64-128 samples with at less than 500$ I suggest that one.
If wanting to go as low as 32 samples then you must build a 4-900$ rig.

yep. that cpu in particular is really fast. really really fast cpu that will be doing 32 samples at 25% balanced mode.

It means bouncing becomes an option, not a necessity.
if a machine is doing anything lower than 256 samples at 25% of its initial setclock, you know you've built a machine to last.
