Help picking out an interface

I have a powerMac G5 and I am finally thinking about getting an interface so I can record 8 tracks of drums at once and do real recordings(instead of garageband)

does anyone know any good interfaces that would let me record 8 tracks of drums at once?
I am new to computer recording, so I need some help adapting.
thanks in advance

since your runnin a mac a G5 at that I'd prolly go with a protools rig of some sort (sorry im not a mac user so Im not much help)or if it runs on a mac I'd suggest MOTU.
just check there sites digidesign and motu (mark of the unicorn)

Maudio make plenty of 3.3V PCI soundcards suitable for the G5's.

this man needs 8 simultaneous inputs, a pci based card doesn't cut it. If you're doing primarily audio and not much midi, get a pro tools rig, 002 rack will be fine. if you're doing alot of midi (not a pro tools strongpoint) get an RME or MOTU interface with the software of your choice. Peace!

And why the hell not? All the ultra high end audio interfaces are PCI cards.

believe it or not but pci is faster and more powerfull than usb and firewire and yes the can get up to 10 inputs i believe mabey more...add a mixer and you got even more

I've got a 20x44 interface sitting on my "old" 32bit/33Mhz PCI bus
