Firewire sound card advice!

I have a Fa-101 Edirol sound card (Firewire connection-6 Pin Female Port to 9 Male FW 800) but unfortunately, I have no Firewire ports on my MacBook Pro 2015.

Do you think the below will solve the problem?

Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter & Akord FireWire 400 to 800 6 pub Female Port to 9 Pin Male adapter.

Theoretically it should work (and I've successfully used a Focusrite FW interface with an adapter to a TB port)...but you should also take in account the MacOS version you're using - some older interfaces might just refuse to work under High Sierra, for example, or are at least "unsupported" and only work via some aggregate device trickery.

Thanks krushing
I've done a little research and it seems as though OS X still has Firewire drivers, they just aren't being updated, so these should still work OK on older Apple hardware that had on-board FW.
Will give it a try before going out and buying a new sound card.
