My two suggestions are an SSD and a CPU with a lot of cores, which you seem to have covered.

Any more advice is probably best to ask for at /r/buildapc - Planning on building a computer but need some advice? This is the place to ask!

They helped me a lot.

Thanks,

I posted on there already but there arent many viable answers in terms of sound production?

Heres an updated build list, what do you think

I'd swap the SSD out for a regular hard drive. With only 250GB you'll run out of space fairly quickly. I'm still not sold on SSD's for longevity, particularly for anything having to do with audio.

Looks like a solid PC, but I don't see an audio interface. Looks like you're gonna do video which means 48k audio.
And that GPU seems very light to be doing anything in Substance, I have a GTX 970 and it struggles hard, especially with the kinds of texture resolutions you're gonna need for cinematic shorts. Once you get back to Toolbag or Unreal, it'll be fine, but when you're dealing with large uncompressed 2 or 4k texture layers in Substance.. prepare to get frustrated!
