XENYX1002 mixer problems with FL Studio

Hey everybody,

I'm trying to record with the Xenyx1002 mixer into FL Studio, but FL Studio doesn't seem to detect my mixer. I pluged my mic into the preamp mic, then used an RCA cord as the out into the mic jack for my laptop. It still doesn't detect it. But when I plug the RCA Cord through the earphone jack on my laptop, I am able to hear music through the phones jack on the mixer.. but I can't record. Do I need an interface for this mixer? Can some1 help me? Thnx!

Did you set up the output port from your mixer to the input port of FL? Check the audio settings. But you will probably need an interface anyway. The latency from your on-board soundcard is probably way too high, you'll find out yourself though.

Yeah, i checked the audio settings. The only soundcards I have is my internal mic, primary sound driver, and the asio driver. All of them don't have any inputs for the music... the interface seems to be the solution for everything haha
