Using CDs instead of vinyl?

Hey FP. I'm new to this forum, but not necessarily new to production. I've been learning about production for the past year, and almost two months ago I got a Maschine and I've been banging out tracks since. Most of my tracks use samples in some way or another.

I've noticed that when I've sampled audio that was cleaner (most likely not coming from a vinyl), it was easier to work with, and I always enjoyed the final outcome more. I understand vinyl is obviously the go-to for sampling, and I understand why, but why is sampling CDs essentially unheard of and even frowned upon?

I ask this because my mother has a collection of probably 1000~ CDs ranging over 7 decades that I can see myself extremely benefiting from one way or another. I just get this impression that if you're not sampling from vinyl then you're not doing the real thing. In the end I know it comes down to the "be yourself" "make your own music" "dont let nobody tell you what to do", but why do YOU prefer one or the other?

Thanks.
