I have a TASCAM MKII-122 audio interface. I'm using it with my Toshiba L676 Laptop, with 4 GB ram, running Windows 7. My DAW is Ableton Live 8. I am having some issues.
Main issue, blue screen of death. Doesn't happen all the time. It seems to go in spurts. I will have a day with constant BSOD, then nothing for a few days. And it's not just while using the DAW, it happens while surfing with Maxton, or even using Windows Media Center.
Latency recording. I've played with the settings in Ableton. Can 't seem to get any improvement.
I tried to make a 'mix tape' with Ableton. Once I put in the 3rd track, I was getting popping and crackle.
Anyone come across this?
I have dloaded the most recent drivers, and installed them. That was salesman's advice, I didn't even install the packaged drivers.
If I can't resolve these issues, I may just trade the thing in on another interface.
Anyone else heard or experienced these issues?
Any suggestions on an interface should I trade?
