I'm looking to purchase a 49 key midi keyboard controller. My budget is around $200. I'm leaning toward buying the Roland A-49. Does that have to be connected to the computer, or can it just be connected to my interface? also, is there a better brand of 49 key midi controllers in that price range ?
keyboard wise the a49 is probably one of the best in that price range, its very basic on features though, so you have to decide on what is more important to you, key feel or features.
I don't need a lot of features, I just want to be able hook it up to my interface and play in Pro Tools or Ableton. Just basic piano notes, because I'm also getting the Maschine.
