just installed a IDE cf-CARDREADER but the screen says floppy not ready????

there was never no floppy in the first place,it came with internal ZIP (blue XL)..

why is it not possible to install a simple ide cardreader??

did u format the drive to the mpc? thts the only thing i can think of going wrong? try the mpc forums

it's impossible to format since the mpc does not recognize the device...

when i install my ZIP it recognizes the ZIP as "ATAPI"

when install my CF-drive with the excact same cables it says "no floppy divice"..can't do nothing, wasted 50 euro's of my cash.

anyone?

it can't be that hard to install a simple IDE 3,5 inch device..the customer support at AKAI sucks..

their support does suck yes but they arent going to help you with a mpc 2000 anyway. I would call a local tech. I saw your post at the mpc forums I dont think its worth buying a mcd but you should make sure you are buying the right drive in the first place or buyone from mpc stuff
