Hi all,

I bought a new laptop a few months ago to give myself a portable studio. It was an ASUS laptop with I7 costing around 1100 euros. It came in with a 4G ram memory that is upgradable to 10 G. Now, Im pondering whetever I should upgrade it to 8G because sometimes the CPU in my sequencer is kinda blogging up. I dont even know for sure if Ram memory and CPU in the sequencer have a connection with eachother, given the fact im not an expert in computers so is there somebody that is kind enough to help me out? :) I use FL Studio 11.

Open up a project that's giving you issues... then CTRL+ALT+DEL to open up Windows task manager.. check how much RAM is being used while the song is open and playing.

The CPU meter in your DAW is moreso a function of your CPU performance and the ASIO driver of your interface. So... we need more information to really help.

1) How much RAM is in usage for those large projects?
2) What model CPU is in your laptop?
3) Do you have an audio interface? If so... which one?
