How do I find root note?

In FL studio how do I find the root note of my sample? I know there is "wave candy" but I didnt really get the job done with that. Are there other tools/techniques that can help?

Hit some notes I piano until u figure it out. Your ears are you best tool

Do you have Sound Forge? It has a root note feature.

Personally, all I do is hum different notes continuously up and down until I find the one note that harmonizes perfectly with the entire sample all the way through. When you find that, find a piano and find the exact note that you where humming if you can't already decipher by ear.
