Help with Recording My Beats Onto Cassette

does anyone record there beats onto cassette? i want to know the best way to accomplish this. I want to get an old school tape deck and run an sp 404 into the line in's of the tape deck and record that way, will that work? i drive a 97 chrysler concorde so i have the cassette system and would like to make beat tapes to listen to in the car. Does anybody have experience with this? let me know. Thanks.

Pretty much any line level stuff into the inputs of a deck will work. Cassettes being the noisy things they are, you just have to find the optimal input level.
