Getting Studio Monitors for Christmas, Any Recomendations?

New to the forums. I'm a producer and aspiring rapper. I've been producing for 2 years now, and my mom's gonna be purchasing me my first studio monitors with a studio sub woofer. Keep in mind, I'm not very experienced with Audio Hardware and don't own an M-box. My mom is willing to spend around $350 total. Maybe a little bit over. Would I be able to get monitors and a sub of that price range that will plug right in to my laptop? I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

My KRK 10" sub was $400 alone, so it may be hard to find a pair of monitors AND a sub for $350. I'd start with just a pair of monitors (I prefer KRK) and if they don't have the bass you like the maybe buy a sub somewhere in the future.
