There are tons of options out there for this and i have read reviews and watched to many youtube videos to recall but im a 30yr old, really oldschool (vestax + vinyl ) dj and i would like to get something digital and i really like the stanton digital systems. The sc system with the 10 inch platter and mixer combo are at the top of my list right now. I know i could go serato and keep the vinyl feel but i like the way this intergrates with live.

any suggestions.

I have a Stanton SCS.3D and i'm not all that keen on it. It's more the fact that you can't change the layout around to a way that suits your workflow unless you purchase Bome's midi translator at an extra cost and work out how the hell to use it.

It's a good concept but the execution's just not there in reality. Different functions require too many page changes to execute and it's easy to get confused with what page you're on. On more than one occasion i've gone to adjust an effect only to find out I forgot to activate the FX tab and instead hit a cue point at the beginning of the track. Plus customer support and updates suck in my experience.

If I were you, get Serato. It has a new feature coming out called The Bridge, which allows it to integrate with Ableton for a whole host of features. You could team this up with an Akai APC40 or some other Ableton controller for serious control and flexibility.

Go Serato. There's absolutely no way in hell you'd be disappointed with it!
