CD Player help please

Google is retarded, Im trying to figure stuff out about how to get a CD-R (not a compact disc)
to read on things that take compact discs... is it possible, I'm trying to put a bunch of beats on a cd and apparently I got the wrong type of blank cd because I cant get anything except my computer to recognize it.... so is there a way i can turn these cd's into compact discs or make shit read them
 
Sounds like maybe you got a CD-RW or maybe you didnt finalize the CD-R you made. Or maybe you used a DVD disc? You'll have to just try again using a regular CD-R. And be sure to burn it at a slower speed in disk at once mode with finalization settings on (if it gives you that choice).
