Love what you did with the intro, and the song felt like it told a story. I like that, and I think that's more important in song-writing than the sounds themselves any day.
I'd be lying if I called myself anything close to a pro-am, or even an amateur at this, but that being said that sample/synth sound that takes the lead has this...
I don't even know how to explain it. Perhaps another layer, or another "voice" in the synth sound could potentially give it a little bit of meat, because this track isn't too far off from being a good chill-song.
