What do you think about hybrids in music.

I think it's pretty cool to mix up different flavours together, like rock with electro, techno, d&b, trance, ambiental,......................................................................
in short - to be openned for different ideas.

SO, what's your opinion about it?

Any good bands doing that?

yeah i agree, bands that experiment open up doors, which sometimes redirects the entire genre they are working with, or creates a whole new genre all together.

i dunno if this counts, but in my opinion bands like the lo-fidelity all stars are really a mix of rock and electronica. they drop a really simple beat in the backround, but also fool around with vocals and piano and guitar. check out their cd, how to operate with a blown mind, it's really good and its straddles the fence of rock and electronica.

then of course there's always any of the new radiohead stuff...

that is one amazing experimental album from a band who before that, did pretty conventional stuff
