Hi

maby you should look at virtual turntables (carrot), or BPM-studio (alcatech) These programs are double mp3 players with a mixer and a beatmatching option....

Auto beat-mixing is over-rated. It only really works for music that has true 4/4 beats. If you are mixing house, hip-hop, or any other electronically produced beat; it might work for you.

I have tried a number of different products out there, but I have found that if I didn't already know how to beat mix my mixes wouldn't come out as I wanted. If you are confident in your beat-mixing skills, then ABM will be of great benifit to you. It gives you the freedom to set up playlists and read your crowd. If you're not too good at it, I suggest practice until you get it down on your own and then look for that type of software. You don't want to depend too much on ABM; it might come back and bite you in the ***.

Here's a link for some available products. Many of them claim to have ABM. Those that do, all claim that it works.

Hi.

Try out Atomixmp3 (www.atomixmp3.com). You can mix mp3s using their software. It has an auto beat matching feature. However, I do believe learning to beat match using turntables will always be the better choice.

I don't mean to be rude, but there's a lot more to djing than beatmatching... if you plan on "not doing anything", you will suck, even if the beats happen to be matched by a computer program. Just listen to mixes other people (good djs) have made, they will be a lot better than your own.
