well, i've heard that you could damage your turntable doing this... Basically you could do this by sending twice more voltage into the pitch controller... but don't do that unless you know someone very good in electronics

my 2 cents

FOUND IT !!

Okay, guys, here's the tip, be BE AWARE YOU CAN BURN YOUR MK2 doing this! By following the following steps you agree that OnlineDJ.com nor anyone in its staff is taken responsible of any consequence, damage blah balh blah...

Now have fun :

1. Remove the plate of your MKII

2. You'll see a black plastic cover

3. Remove the screws on it

4. Remove the plastic cover

5. You'll see the circuit board

6. Look for a BLUE POTENTIOMETER. next to it there's written PITCH

7. BE CAREFUL : With a screwdriver, turn it clockwise, GENTLY to increase the pitch range. Anticlockwise to decrease it

8. NOTE : Increasing the pitch will make it less accurate. do NOT screw it too much, you can damage your MKII.

------------------------------------------

Post any question! start flame wars! whatever you want, but have fun at OnlineDJ.com !

i can explain it in french, but i need to say it in english... help here it is:
"il faut retirer, le plateau de la platine,
ensuite, dévisser le cache, ensuite à l'aide d'un tourne-vis cruciforme, on tourne un potentiometre en forme de vis (attention, ne pas toucher a celui de voltage!!) et on fait des tests en remettant le plateau avec les vitesses du strombo scope, jusqu'a arriver au bon coefficient"
if anyone can translate it to english, id be glad, a friend of mine dont understant french...

thanx
here it is
have fun and speed up your music!!!

I´ve been selling Deejay equipment and buiding discotheques for a long time and i´ve to warn you all to change the pitch potentiometer in the turntable. In the middle of the 90´s it was very popular here in germny in the techno-scene to tune up the technics-players. 80% of them were went broken. The IC which is suitable for the pitch and motormanagement was overheated. So the repairprice was always nearby 200-300$. Please don´t do it!!!! Frank
