I'm expanding my studio, and I need some help/advice. I have a Pulsar 1 sound card (Win 98) and I want to record around 10 tracks at once (live band, etc.) I really would like a mixing board that interacts well with the Pulsar (Cubase is the software I'm using) Any suggestions? Is lightpipe connections the best for hooking up to a digital board? Will a digital board do everything I need or is a 16 channel breakout box necessary? Thanks for any replies!!!

my advice:

get a YAMAHA 01V + the ADAT extension

then you can connect the lightpipe and route the signals from the digital mixer to the pulsar OS in realtime, separately.

One thing though, you should try to separate each instrument as much as you can (choose the right microphones )

I hope this helps!!!
