Hi guyz..

Shoehorning some music comping into the 3D work.. and want to mp3 files played from the synths. Haven't gone through the A-B-C ( Midi to audio to mp3) process yet.. BUT wondered if we could skip the audio recording and go MIDI play right to mp3. Suggestions ? Software ?

FWIW, I use Mac 8500's (currently using Roland sound set in QT, but I'd rather be able to have the sounds from the synths. In fact I would HAVE to use them for a lot of it ! )

ANy help appreciated.. thx. I'm not sure which forum best so Im gonna post to other forum here as well.

Welcome Ed2!

unless you have some kind of hardware encoding device, you'll have to record the sound of your computer while you playback the MIDI (capture the sound) and then save the capture as a WAV file...

Then you can convert the WAV to MP3 using encoding progz.

you are using synths, so you probably record your songs as AUDIO sometimes to put them on CD.. I really thin you should go as usual, and simply convert the WAV recordings to MP3s manually

Good luck.
