Okay It may sound kool the transfer stuff over the internet and make a song or whatever, but what if someone whose got like a great name in the music biz wants to use the music, who would he talk to about it???

You have a valid point.... I would say rally all the cats that had something to do with the track, (I'm sure it's probably 2 to the 3 individuals) and designate a spokes person for that particular track to talk to them..

Seems to me that if you wanted to collaborate on this forum, you would get in contact with 1 or 2 people who shared a similar interest/mood/focus to produce the track with. Collaboration scattered all over the board seems like it would be a rare occurance to me. If you want to get anything done you need at least a small amount of focus and if 10 different people with completely different visions of the end result could become a pretty redundant effort. So, if youre making tunes with another person or 2, or 3, then you would all be co-owners of the finished work, and therefore would come to an agreement together on the selling of the track. Don't get me wrong, working with a bunch of eclectic, different minded people could be amazing and yield the most interesting results, but it just would depend on what the objective was in the project. Sometimes the best objective in a project is no objective though, so don't listen to me.....

but probably like many ppl that do this don't really think about contracts and who gets what if this track falls into some hands that could get you exposure, but ya'know many ppl don't think that way.

collaboration across the net is going to revolutionize the music industry... the wave of new, internet based music ('specially hip hop) is increasing daily. I'm working on tunes with quite a few people, it's just a game of persistance. Organizing the creation of a CD is going to be a big ****ing undertaking, you just gotta play by the rules and work damn hard every day to get the ball a rollin...
