Steven "Lenky" Marsden Produced The Diwali Rhythm
Diwali isn't actually his name, the name Diwali refers to the Indian, or actually the Hindu, Festival Of Lights. This name is chosen because of the south asian influence on this track.
I'm afraid i don't know what Lenky uses, what I suggest is you try and cover the riddim, from scratch, if you are so intent on being like Lenky. I'm certain that certain tracks have used samples. Despite the fact that you do not have the same equipment, many producers adequately cover(or copy) the styles of other producers on any equipment. The producers don't have machines that give them the style. It's the way they manipulate them, so it's up to you more than up to your equipment.
In the composing forum snoopjay has suggested this guide
www.thugangel.co.uk/dancehall.zip
this is a good start for dancehall in general. I believe snoopjay created this guide.
Snoopjay had also inquired in the same forum about the claps in the Diwali rhythm and together with other users, there has been progression in manifesting dancehall claps.

If you liked the Diwali rhythm, I suggest you check out the Bollywood Rhythm, and the more recent Egyptian Rhythm, both available on Greensleeves, just like Diwali.
