i used to have a fully blown studio with lots of hardware and my trusty atari running them,
now after a few years i lose all my stuff due to a fall out with my freinds who also chipped into the studio with their gear.
Now I got a 450mhz, 128meg pc running cubase VST 5,
Im trying to lay down an audio track from my jp8000 though for some reason i get a lot of clicks and jumps when i try to record.
I followed the audio options to set up the memory per channel and disk buffer size though i cant find a setting that suits my cofiguration to stop this dreadfull sound,
my soundcard is a sb live 1024, its not the best though surely it should work?? is cubase just such a huge program it eats my resources as is?
someone please help me, im sure there must be a solution.
also, if i get a powerfull pc suck as a 1gb chip with 512meg or ram, will this stop my audio probs?? i dont want to spend so much cash if i dont need to
a very unhappy fluxtah
more hardware, more hardware, i want to conform to this pc world of music though my atari running hardware kicks ar*e, more work though worth it.
help!!
