Thanks for any votes I got so far and for any I hopefully get later.

Superproducer- Whoa man! Catchin hard feelings or what? I call your sample corny( even though I said it was a personal preference and I thought the track was nice) and now your callin mine corny? Thats cool, but could you go a little bit deeper and say what I need to improve. Peace.

..... that most katz that vote purely vote on the content that they like, not the quality? You do both, but quality weighs more than content. Here's the scenario... I listened to both beatz, both def tight as f***... no doubt, big ups to both of you on tha track. Jay, your beat had that NYC flava to it, so I was def feelin' that sh*t hardcore... had my head noddin' an' sh*t. I did detect (from what I could hear) some slight distortion between the bass and kicks though... sorta rattled a bit. Parts sounded a bit hollow, but tight. Urban, your beat was tight too.. that nice Dre beat feel to it definitely. I wasn't feelin' the pace of it much, thought it could be a bit faster by maybe 2 or 3bpm's... BUT, the mixing and mastering of your track... simply tight as hell... and that's how I judge tha beatz... cause if you judge it on the sound more than tha quality, then it's not doing justice. I personally hate south flava beatz... BUT, if an NYC beat and a south flava beat battled, and the NYC joint was tightly made, but had mad distortion in it, rattling, pitch problems, etc.., and the south flava beat was nicely mastered, but didn't really move me... I'm gonna go with the south flava, just because it's more usable and perfected. Just my thoughtz, but then, f*ck it... that's gonna be my new motto.

Vote: Urbanspirit with nicely mastered track.

Word.

There will always be a personal preference to something. I use a personal preference as a reason when the battle is so close I can't decide otherwise. Not voting on a track is unacceptable for me

But I think that there are a few catz here who just aren't educated enough in what makes a track complete in all aspects. Not that I'm perfect but I look at various things when I judge..

1) Quality sounds.
2) Production/Mastering Quality
3) Composition/Arrangement
4) Drum Sequencing
5) Hypeness - The "IT" factor.

Some categories are more important. For example number 3 is not as important as number 2. (in my book)

I feel what both of you are saying in that yeah, you have to go on the quality of the joint, and I do understand as far as clarity and overall sound urbanspirit got me beat( nice job man!)

But one thing thats kinda weird is that this is a beat battle. I'm a producer, I make beats and I make songs. One thing that I'm not experienced at, mostly cuz I'm young and haven't been doing this that long, is engineering. You know I don't have monitors just yet, so my mixes aren't as tight as I want them to be, I don't feel the need to get my beats mastered unless I'm doing a track with an artist for something. So in that part I'm at a little of a disadvantage.

But its aight though, thats just something I need to improve with over time. Thanks for the reviews guys. Peace.
