Both tracks were pretty close for me but caG was a little better. caG ur sound is good but it sounds a little fake (synthesized) But the beat is nice and at times I was feeling it (i loved the intro). neko ur music was just not my style. I just can't find myself spitting over ur beat but maybe its just me. Also my interest lagged about half way 'cause it seemed to repeat itself quite a bit.

And our fate, is a lifetime of hate ...
Only God can judge me

My vote -Nekemook

Nekemook- Nice solid track. Production quality is excellent- the panning is hot.

caG- Is that the contra bassoon? This track is OK. Its hard to use synthesized orchestra instruments and get away with it though. The guitar breakdown softens it up too much for me. But it does all work together in the end. Your composition skills are good, It just doesnt do it for me as a hip hop beat overall.

nekomook notes:
Sonic gumbo. The track is too busy for me to hear anything grooving or even musical inside.

caG notes:
good production. good composition. not that catchy though. The low wind instrument basoon/tuba (?) sounds like a fart.. sorry I had to say it.

Vote: caG .. better of the two. showed better musical skill.

has a nice jazzy roomy feel but certainly not overdo with reverb.

cag... nice idea but bad implementation. nice orchestration and composition but you use standard MIDI instruments! if you 're serious artist you should avoid them! anyway, maybe you should rework it and then you will have a solid masterpiece! have fun composing, you have some mad talent and ideas!

so to conclude, neko has a tight track, sample based but overall sounds more convincing.

Vote - Nekomook

Neko - I liked the bouncy feel that this track had but it gets very repetitive. It makes me want to flow though and thats a good thing so you get the vote.

Cag - I liked the composition that you put together and have alot of love for these type of tracks but the drum sounds have to go. I like the drum pattern you programmed but the actual sounds werent very hip hop, especially the snare drum. I would just use a different drum kit and you'd be good to go. I actually see more talent in your track but had to vote for Neko because I'm voting upon the current state the track is in and not the potential of it.
Peace!

nekomook- A off the back for unique-ness. Very impressive that route. Seems a bit clutter however. Like the sounds used but needs more breathing room and change of mood a little more. Love the creativity on it.

caG- Beat is dope but sounds ALL GM. Love the melodies, hate the instrument sounds. If you used the motiff, triton, roland ect with those patterns and sounds of high qaulity synths I think you would take the cake by a long shot. As is leaves me no chioce to vote for nekomook. I suggest redo it with FIRE sounds and it would be a blazing beat.

Even though there were some mixin issues as I've been told sold many times, I really like the beat. It was complex and different, chopped up nicely, I think one of the better beats in the competition.

nekomook - what the fugg is that? The drumbeat is alright, the rest is garbage (did you even attempt to make a melody, at least its pushin the limits of my understanding of it). Its fairly repetitive which gets annoying. I cant see anyone spittin on this ****.
Work on your shyte and come back next time.

caG - dont like some of the sounds in this beat, its sounds a little like you're listening to eminem a lot...haha. I like the oboe sound (you should lower the volume on that and have it going almost througout the entire track... thats just my opion). Some parts (guitar and string) make this track sound like a rap ballad...not a big fan of that. Remember: Less is more (sometimes)...However, this track is better than neko's.

neko- it's aight. Just seems a little too crowded, I think it needs a little more definition. cool though.

caG- Not really my style at all. can';t really get into it. Just like every body said I think this would have been good with better instruments.

My vote- Neko, had my head noddin more
