Mesta Bish Notes:
Decent prduction. Sampled based? The music parts sound a bit thin compared to the drum. I would like to hear some more bottom in the mix - possibly a bassline.

steadypuffin notes:
The first thing I notice is the cheap sounding string instrument. It sound like a standard MIDI sound. Your beat would improve tremendously with a better quality instrument here since it's based around that. Maybe even have a string section come in and play that melody to highlight it here and there. Some of the other sounds are also kind of cheesy sounding. I can hear beyond the cheesy sounds though and you have a good track. I especially like the drum programming on this one. With some better sounds you will really be one to be reckoned with.

Vote: Mesta Bish .. just has the more polished sound.

My vote- Steadypuffin

Mesta- I like where your going with this track, its a great sample to work with. As NFX said it is a little thin. I like the thinness of the sample, but there is emptiness beyond that. The silent breaks are dope, but you might want to add something more instruments to fill it out some more.

steadypuffin- This track feels a little empty too, but I know MC's would love it and go wild on it. The bass does however fill some of the emptiness. I just like more sound variety in a beat.

Mesta Bish, nice track like the horns. there does not seem to be any flow in my opinion. Creative as hell though

steadypuffin, the bass was muddy, but good concept for the tune and strings. production needs work.

Mesta Bish gets this one. production skillz alone.

Yo Thunda, man dog, I understand your point of liking something like with empty space in it, but one beat is clearly better on a non-subjective level. If there is something personal that you like, that is unusual, thats cool, but you are judging the best beat more over than "personally I like blue over green". Thats a personal niche preference more over than a judement in a competition, and I am not knockin yo opinion dog and don't mean this as no dis. The first beat was better and infra, you got B.Wards name at the top of the page of your heading, is that right?

my vote- mesta bish

mesta bish- definaltey the better track in this battle. it sounded a little weird thoguh. it sounded like everything was fighting to be the melody, might wanna pan some or soemhtin

steadypuffin- needs a lot more. a beat isnt justa few notes on top of a drumbeat. this was a very empty beat.

Mesta Bish:

Wins. Nice sample.

steadypuffin:

Alright. You should upgrade your drum sounds.

mesta bish - loving the horns, nice sample, might be a lil too choppy but the concept is there, and that clap is hard....lol. has a nice anthem feel to it. i love those horns....lol. dope track, came off a lil awkward at first, but i finally got into it.

steadypuffin - couldn't really get into this one too much. i see where you are going with this one though. you have some distortion in your highs and lows. you need to also find some better sounds and your drums are ok, but could be better. this is a hardcore type track though, i can tell that. keep at it though good work.

vote - mesta bish liked the sample although it was too choppy to me at certain points. and the overall feel was better.

good work to both...
