Magestic Notes:
Good production. Good beat. Not feeling the "fill" at around 0:49 - it sounds off on first listen, but when it comes back it seems to fit better. Damn good orch beat considering no samples used.

Dubb Notes:
Good production. I really like the bass/drums combo. Sounds like something i would want to listen to while cruisin down the coast at sunset. I have trouble picturing someone flowing over the part where the horns drop but they do sound dope.

Both beats are excellent. Where Magestics is a raw and heavy track, Dubb's is the opposite, smooth and laid back. In a scoring system, these two would be very close, but I must choose.

Vote: Dubb... this is strictly a personal choice since I tend to gravitate towards funky breaks more than orchestral ones.

My vote- TheDubb

Damn, making this choice was tough.

At first when I heard Majestic I thought this will probably be the one cause its different, creative and its hot. By the way I thought the drum fill was fine, it throws a nice curveball into the track.

But then I checked Dubb's track and it was also different and creative. But had to give it to Dubb because the production quality was better.

Do either of you guys have vox on these tracks? If so I would love to hear them-

Good job both of you, keep it up

I think the first one is just slightly better, this one is subjective. The second beat was missing some elements but was aight.v The main melody instrument in magestics joint didn't sit right wit me but that break down at 49 seconds made it for me with the violins.

MaGesTiC- Quite unique track. I like the melodies. Like the change ups through out the track. Nice beat

TheDubb- Like the whistling instruments. The drumz seem plain to me. The change ups are ok but it overall doesnt grasp me =/

MaGesTiC: im feeling the melody... sounds like a warrior type beat , but i think the drums need to come harder than that .

THE DUBB : kool beat it has that west coast type rythym to it , bass line is on point , good clarity ..

MY VOTE :::::: THE DUBB

magestic - nice orchestral beat, really my type of track. and for no samples this is damn good. the fill at 49 is a lil awkward, but i'm not holding that against you. the kick may be a lil too hard on this track though or my equalizer seems to think so...lol. but nice composition overall.

the dubb - i could tell from the beginning this was gonna be real laid back. this has some nice potential, but it just seemed a lil empty to me. but the the drum work is nice on this one with the bongos and congas in the background. nice work on that. like in the hook when the horn comes in, i really like that, mainly because i'm a brass player.....lol

vote - magestic based on his fullness of composition. the dubb still had a nice track just was a lil too empty for me.

but ya'll keep doing ya things..peace.

Magestic- I like like that begining melody, that instrument that sound a little out of tune really gives it a nice fell. and I like that break at 49, it doesn't seem off to me it gives it a nice break, only thing I could suggest would have your snare hit harder, but thats more of a personal preference. Good stuff man!

Dubb- I like the sounds you used, nice funk vibe. The latin percussion in the background really adds to it. The only thing I would suggest that since its more of a funk kinda of beat, you should try to make the drums more realistically, instead of the 808 kinda feel. maybe some realistic shakers and a ride cymbal, with some good drums make it sound more like a drum break. Good job man!

My Vote- Magestic
