awake, i think noble was mad that i think sampling a drum break and using the whole thing as your drums for ur beat is a cheap way to make beats, but then again im putting down some 'legends' by saying that...
but what u and pump said is the best way to do it...then u dont have to worry about time stretching and u can mix and match ur drums to fit the track
