I've got about 2 GBs of drum sounds now, and I need to start going through them all and seperating what I really like from what I don't. I need a software music player for PC that will let me delete music files from my hard drive (not just a playlist) as I listen to them. Something as lightwieght as possible (small RAM usage and install size).

Something that works just like Windows Picture and Fax Viewer does for pictures. If you don't know, this is the default picture viewer in windows. You can open a folder, open the first picture you see, and then if you hit the right or left keyboard arrow, it will go to the next picture in the folder. If you hit delete on the keyboard, it deletes the picture permanently from the hard drive.

Any reccomendations?

If you don't own FL Studio, download the demo. You can open your "load sample" window, inside the step sequencer and view full folders of wav, aif, mp3, ect. soon as you single-click on them, they play, and you can quickly delete anything you don't like.

Alot of other audio apps do the same, but FL's the only thing I know of where you can do it inside the downloadable straight off their website demo. Possibly Sony Soundforge.

Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.

Thanks for the recs, Phuk'dup. I've never used FL studio, but aren't most DAWs at least 60 MBs on the hard drive, and take like a full minute to start up? I was hoping for something real small. I've also never used Reaper, but somebody was saying the manual pdf is like three times the size of the executable file, and you don't even have to install. Do you know if Reaper can delete files? Thanks again.

Hrmmmm. Does itunes, support wavs? Will it infest my computer with BS and clog my bandwidth? Sorry if I'm being picky, I really do appreciate the help. I just thought there might be some lightwieght freeware thing out there that's like 1 MB download and doesn't try to get online and stuff. Anybody got any ideas what search terms I can type inot google? I tried wav player delete, sound browser, music player delete as I listen. is there any kind of term for what I want? Thanks again, yall...
