this question gets asked every now and then, and all's you are going to get is "OPINION" and not "FACT"..

there is no one way to sample, there is no best way to sample. the only things that are certain is some people prefer hardware, some people prefer software.

me personally i prefer software, just because its what i have access to most of the time, and i find its a lot more versatile while staying cheap.

so say if i had software with a mpk49 or a trigger finger or something, would i be able to chop up the sample across the pads like an mpc or mv?

Yeah, it would be pointless if you couldn't.

Use whatever your comfortable with. There is no best there is just right.

yes. combining what you feel comfortable with is always the best way to go.

consider this...the 5000 has gotten **** on repeatedly from big names in the game...just blaze said its the worst mpc he ever used...the 4000 has gotten great reviews...

i combine pro tools with the mpc and just go in...beats have gotten bigger and bigger so i always felt if i tried to switch my methods i'd be screwing myself over in a way.

dont fix what aint broke ya know?

a lot of ppl are switching to software now but at the same time its all up to the person behind the music..... whatever ur most comfortable with go for it.

i think i'm gonna stick with mainly software bc there'z a lot of great stuff out there to use that can do pretty much the same things as hardware.
