I can only suggest you (don't know it helps or not) chop the one bar more-example you chop your bar in too 4 slices(4 pads), try chop that bar in 8 or 10, 12 slices. And find there sound witch you can make longer and it still sounds good. For example you chop one bar into 10 slices and you find that on 8. and 10. slice there is nice sound, just play that slices 2 times.
