I went crate digging and pulled out an album that I could make 1000 beats with haha. So that got me wondering, How many beats will you guys make with samples from 1 album before you feel like you've used it too much?

There is no such thing as too much IMO. If every track is worthy of a good chopping then so be it. To me, mezmerizing samples come too far and in between to concern myself with am I getting too many samples from one album/artists/catalog etc.

I agree with Scratch. If you can flip it, flip it. I have a few albums where pretty much every song I want to flip. I think it would be a cool idea to make a remix album with all samples from the same album.

No limit, if you can flip every single song, do it, just make sure you cant recognize where it came from... Bob james albums are classic to make 1,000 of beats out of 1 song...

I heard a cat that re-mixed Jay-Z' "Black Album", taking all his samples from the same Diana Ross album...and the shiit came out better then the original!
