I know it's tough to listen to all these tracks all the way through..

..my track is laid out in a intro-chorus-verse... format. If you listen to about 2 minutes of it, you will have heard all the parts.

NFX-lovin the funky bassline bru! bangin drums too... not a big fan of the pads over the top of it, they do add some atmosphere but it makes it feel a little techno-y which when mixed with the savage amounts of funk in it clashes a bit in my mind.

Mesta Bish-the piano sample seems like you cropped it a bit short or something, every now and again it seems like the piano comes in off-tempo...the drums are REALLY nice during the chorus parts like around 1:20, but otherwise they are a bit too bare for my taste. the sample of that girl sining also seems to fit well around the chorus, but during the verse it gets kinda strange/repetitive.

nice job both though, tough call.

NFX- good soild music, the start was good, the drums were good, again I think is you had only changed or used differ snare, overall is good

(\/)esta Bish - Man .. i loved the first 10 seconds (JUS BLAZE) action, But man the beat did not go anywhere after that, you were working with a good idea, but the hardest thing about using a voice sample is you have to find or play music that goes with the the same melody as the voice, and i did not think it had.

I heard lots of your work on mp3.com, man I think you could have choosen a better beat , you have way better beats on the site, mAN i KNOW you could have had a better track because you have the talent.

sorry man, MY vote goes tp NFX because of the overall flow of the music

NFX - okay this is cool. i can get into this a bit. i'm not too fond of that horn like synth. Maybe its the way its mixed down. I'm not hyped about this beat but I think it's well done with an electronic feel to it.

vesta - ok i like the start. i dont like the skips in the beat though. its too dependent on this main sample. sounds like pink floyd or something... hmmm not diggin this track.

My vote goes to NFX

NFX - I have noticed how clear and clean your production is. It's a nice track, effectively blurring the boundaries of hip hop.

Mesta Bish - I was wondering why u submitted this track instead of some of the other FIRE you got on your mp3.com site. I was just feelin NFX's more.

... to be broken down in this format:

NFX, nice track, well composed... I'm not too big a fan of the funky twist to the beat, but your sh*t was nice. The bassline was definitely ill, and it was well composed. I do agree with my manz though on the beat sounding too techno-y with that synth breakin' through segments of your beat. The beat is tight though playa, had my head bobbin' to it.

Mesta, your beat was hot too... I remember hearing it before and commenting on it. The track was tight, could use a bit more EQ'ing to some of the elements though. Tight track though, but as I've said before, the voice gets a bit repetitive and annoying. Of course, with a lyricist on it, it would sound better. You should've entered Ganosha or Many Places in my opinion. You do have some hot tracks on tha real. Keep 'em blayzin'.

This was a bit closer than I expected, but based on composition and true studio mastering, my vote has to go with NFX. If I based it on the beat I liked more, I'd go with Mesta, but my vote is more technical rather than biased on which beat I like more. blayzin' tracks though to both of you.

My vote: NFX
