my vote- j-pro

I think both beats were excellent and that neither had anything wrong with them. I voted for j-pro's cuz i liked the orchestra sound better.

fox notes:
decent track. I think the track was predictab;le though. Adding one new element every couple of bars is the reason. Once all the elements havebeen added all you can do is remove some elements which leaves no surprise factor.

j-pro notes:
another orch sample beat. This sample sounds very very familiar. I don't know if I heard this track before or if it's an overused sample, but I was not feelin this track. Maybe because in the last round we had a couple of orch sampled beats that set the bar vey high...

Vote: Fox ...

fox-nice mood set on this one, i really dig the tremolo strings in the background, together with the dark piano it sets it off. nice changeups also, tightly produced track for sure.

j-pro-i like this, though the sample gets a bit repetitive after a bit, but right after it started to get repetitive it changed up, so it was nice timing. i really like your drums, nice sustain on the kick drum.

My vote goes to J-PRO for a better beat than the basic one submitted by Fox.

My vote goes to MrFox,

MrFox, I liked the track, it sounded straight outta Memphis.
I like the way it builds up to the the drum kicks drop. Nice.

J-pro, I liked the track also, that is a fresh sample, i just thought u coulda freaked it more, chopped it up and did more than just the drums u added. I still liked it though.

I think that this battle is the hardest one to judge, because the talent is so close.

mrfox- i liked the intro (music, and drums), but the first thing that cout my ear was the kind of kick you used ( it was electric sounding), I would have used more of a foot kick with a wider longer kick sound. I think you used samples, and played the second strings (?). overall I can see where you were going, u did not add things that did not need to be added, thus the track was complete and to the point, good job.

j-pro-man, what a great first 10 sec., I think your start was great. great samples, and great drum line, I think the placement of the string samples could have been changed in some place. This is a great freestyle beat. good job

this is too close guys, but if I have to vote this min. I would vote for j-pro, because i feel it is just a tiny bet more to the point, sorry mr fox, i really had a hard time with this battle
