What up,

When I sample I usually load up 4 bars into the slicer, time stretch and chop on beat, and send it to the FPC so I have it all spread out across 16 pads and thats linked to my MPD 24.

What are some other ways you guys sample in FL? Do you always time stretch? Just curious looking to try things some different ways I dont wanna feel boxed in ya dig?

I load the sample in the playlist. Just drag and drop. Then I shorten or lengthen it to get the tempo I want.***just make sure in the sampler channel, that you got ur TIMESTRETCHING switched from RESAMPLE to AUTO. Then I record the sample into edison (if I'm using MPD, I load in SLICEX when I use more that 16 chops).

I use edison to chop and I play the chops on my MPD24.

i chop up the sample on edison and i drag and drop the chop on the step sequencer

then, i set the samples to cut thems (right-click on channel for option to pop up)

i then open up the channel settings window and right-click on the sample waveform at the botoom

a 'detect tempo' option shows up, click it...then select a tempo range i am comfortable with (usually 75-150bpm)
-this is for time stretching

there is a knob for pitch above the 'pre-computed effects' within the channel settings window...u can use this to change pitch without screwing ur tempo

when triggering ur samples, place them on sequencer...to stop a sample, reduce a note's velocity to zero

Damn, ya'll sample difficultly. Yes, ma'****as...difficultly.

I simply chop my samples in Edison, and load them into the Fruity Slicer, where I then tweak the tempo/attack/decay/pitch/etc.

Then I play the corresponding chops in the Slicer on my MPD24.

Really? I started out not using a controller, and I can't imagine NOT using one now.

Ya for me it is really annoying not having a controller...I went from no controller, to a MIDI keyboard which was nice, but now the MPD is the jumpoff...
