Sorry if my question is stupid, but how do you speed up a sample in Live, so that the pitch is higher, but A=440? I know I can set the warp setting to pitch, but then I will have to retune all of my vsts to fix the sample....how do i control the sample to stay in 440 when i pitch it up?

thanks

If you don't set your warp markers right it will not be on time.
That is the most important part..It is more then just enabling the warp button..You have to go threw the whole loop making sure the first marker is on the one (The down beat of the first bar) and all other
markers are on the right spots

in the clip properties view, use the half/double tempo buttons. that's 1 way, hit the help and read up on so you can find other ways to do this. lots of ways to skin a cat in Live.

Sorry, I didnt really explain myself clearly.....

I meant like if a sample is in the key of A for example, how can I speed(changing pitch and tempo) it up but make it so that the sample would be in D or E or F, but not somewhere in between....If warp it and then use the pitch changer wont the the quality be pretty bad because Im basically timestreching and pitchshifting, when I dont have to do either....
