LOL when I was a kid they used to sing this song at my church. Never thought I'd hear that again...

Your flip was dope, but the drums are way too loud... I could barely hear anything over the kick drum.

Fu(k, I'm the worst at mixing, I have yet to even worry about it because I want to get good at actually making a beat first, I pump out 5 rough beats instead of one perfectly mixed.

It's crazy though, some dudes say the drums ain't loud, too loud, not hitting, to soft ect.. and it's always a different response so I change it up each time. I need to find a sweet spot at some point, or it's my monitors, I dunno, but yeah I'm no mix master Mike, need to start reading up on it to get better, and listen to it in the car first, when I play it in the car I can hear what needs to be changed much better on my monitors it sounds good, then again I don't have a sub hooked up so can't really tell. I bet when I bring it to the car I'll know exactly what you mean.

I hear you man. I'm still learning how to mix properly. It is definitely the hardest part of producing. You just got to get familiar with your monitors. Try playing a cd through your monitors that you know is mixed well, like Dre or something. Listen carefully where the instruments sit and how loud they are... usually while I'm mixing I will switch back and forth from my mix to a cd for reference. And yeah, definitely play your beat on a few systems so you know for sure... I always play mine in the car and on my home stereo... its a long road for sure...
