4 the longest i've been tryin to figure out how to sample and i haven't gotten any closer to learnin. i've watched my patna do it on his mpc and heard people talk about doin it on reason but i don't know what's goin on. i want to be able to use drums off some old school stuff and the vocals. i started usin reason and i have adobe audition....someone tell me what i need to do. oh and i need some real details...2 many people half ass tell u how to do it but i need to know exactly what to look for and suggested ranges or whatever u call it.

its all about start and end points.....loops or one shots.....that about it!

You'll need Recycle 2.1 to sample with Reason, and a mp3 to Wave converter program (find one for free just google) convert your mp3 sample to a wave file, chop it up in Recycle, open it in Reason with Dr. Rex loop player or the other sampler.

i have recycle..that's not the only way to use a loop in reason though. when i do come across mp3's i use adobe audition to turn them into waves.

real info would be an answer to what i asked. the whole start and end thing is almost common sense. if that was all that was needed nobody would be on here askin about makin a sample.

OK so you have all the required tools, whats the problem ? load a sample chop it, flip it.

the problem is the same one i mentioned in the 1st post. besides how can i load a sample if there isn't one made yet?

load it into nnxt, (each individual wav that is chopped), or into the redrum....map ot out to whatever midi notes you want and baddah boom baddah bing......bang away!!!! should we hold your hand while you do it to.....j/k

if u're gonna try to crack a joke at least have an answer to what i was askin. i never said anything about how to use samples...the post is about creating them.
