Yo guys.. Personally, I hate sampling anything new(2000+) because I love hip hop so much and it seems like cheating..

But all my friends do.. And when they ask me like "whats wrong with sampling newer music" i honestly dont know what to say cause like...

if you make a dope song, add your own little twist into it, and get sample clearance in the long run...

Whats the problem?

My motto is, if it's on the shelf at Best Buy or FYE, it's too new to be sampled. Let the artist get their shine before you eat off of it.

you're taking someone elses work either way, so what difference does it make if its 50 years old or not even released yet?
