Genycis Notes:

Nice military style beat...
I don't know what it is but I'm really sensitive to reverb tonight. the high pitched arps are cool, but I didn't like that other high pitched synthy-flutish sound that comes in for a few bars. It kind of mushes out the mix.


Analytical Notes:

One of the best orchestral beats I have heard. Levels seem a bit low compared to some other entries in the compo. Some mixing issues too, the cymbals are much lower than the hats for example.


Tough choice, both beats were very good...

Based on overall "impressed me" factor..

Vote: Analytical.

Both entries were strong, in terms of somposition.
However, both tracks seemed a bit muffled and had some mix issues.
As I said before, I kept waiting for Genycis's joint to explode at some point, but it just played out like a long intro. And, I could've done without the storm FX.
Other than the problems with the levels, I was really feelin' Analytical's joint, though.
So, while both entries were good, my vote went to Analytical in this round.

Genycis - Ahhhh... this is the style of orchestrated beats I like. real moody. Some sound effects... cool. A bit of distinction for the hook and verse parts which I like. The only thing I'm not sure of about this beat is the drum track. It sounds a little low on the speakers I'm using right now but I could see that working for a nice concept song.

Analytical - Another orchestra style beat... but I'm not mad at this one either. Some nice changeups. The melodies sound cool to me. Nice to hear more than one instrument in there. Production seems cool.

Best battle yet... hmmmm I'm diggin the feel of Genycis' track more but I gotta go with Analytical for the overall appeal.

Analytical, I found that both beats were just sick and both were pretty bad ***, you both put alot of emotion, I liked the thunder effect genycis used, and his composition was good too but I think analytical kicked it up a notch, he had extremely good composition witch made it flow just sooo perfect

Analytical gets my vote. Very catchy beat that appears to be well programmed. The Gen beat was not bad either but i was just feeling Analyticals more.

Nice orchestral joints.

Genycis- I thought that the Jam was tight, I really liked the "white noise" factor from the thunder in the background. The only thing I would have to improve this track, is for it to escalate at some point...that's the trick with an orchestral track (in my humble opinion). Still dope though.

Analytical- I love this track, don't let it go to ya head tho! LOL.
I thought that beat was just a touch loose here and there, but overall..you throw the right vocalist on that track (me for instance..ha ha) you have a real hit.

Close battle.

... I'm gonna lose this 2nd round with a shutout. lol. Oh well... can't say I didn't see this one coming. Analytical's beat is off tha chain... and I'm still learning a bit, so the equilibriums are off and all that, but oh well... there'll be another battle... and I'll be ready also. Congrats Analytical on tha win though. I think I'll submit "Before You Die" the next time around. ha ha ha. Thankx to all y'all for tha thoughtz and luv on my beat though, be sure to check out tha other jointz and holla also. Time to get drunk off of my loss. lol. NYC representah! One.
