One of the reasons I actually bought a mac was for logic pro. Every one has there own preference. I never experimented with it myself but I heard pro tools is amazing for vocals

yo man.i have a mac. i have my own home studio and everything. generally for rap, if you know what your doing, and you have somewhat a knowledge on mixing and mastering garageband will do the trick. when i rap i use garageband.

www.myspace.com/skylarviahiphop the quality isn't bad. (i rap third on hi-hater) if you choose to listen. if you need help with garage band feel free to PM me.

If you have a mac seriously check out Logic. The work flow is amazing. ANd the new Pro Tools is pretty much copying the best parts about it. That should say alot. Though each has his own preference. The work flow alone would make me never leave Logic 8.

I'm a huge advocate for Ableton Live. Hands down one of the best softwares out there. Check out my vocals on the first track of my mypsace for an example of the capability, with a good mic of course.

I used to use mac's but I am a huge fan of vista so I switched back. But I'm really good with the macs too...hit me up with any questions.

news is that logic/apple and pro tools are gonna combo. due to the terrible sales of pro tools and the major sales of logic express. both comps are talking behind closed doors, but as most know they kinda need each other, logic sounds kinda thin at parts. where as pro tools has more audio processors...logic barely has any top notch processors. also any major recording studios are anti-logic....so a colab is a pretty big thing. pro tools gets saved while logic is put into a position of proffesional mastering.

eciting stuff
