whats the best software to use or what software do you use to chop up your sample before loading them into your MPC (if thats what u prefer to do)

lol I just chop in my mpc. I don't see the point in chopping on software if you got an mpc.... to each their own though.

klkl fanx man but im getting the mpc 500 and ive been told that the prosess of chopping is a lot harder due to the numeric sytem rather then seeing the wave form on the screen im def gunna lern how to do it on the mpc 500 but if i need to chop a sample quickly what do you lot recomend??

oh word. yeah, I can see how choppin on the 500's small screen could be a b*tch. I've never used software, but i've heard recycle is good.

yea I love zone chopping on my MPC 2kC.........oh wait the classics don't have that feature....................I use recycle

i use soundforge or cool edit (which i beleive is audition now), into 8/16 bar loops, then i chop the loop/s further in my mpc, however i have the 1k so maybe doing all your chops in DAW maybe easier as for the 500's screen size set bak... there is a program for windows called bluebox, which enebles you to assign/save your chops into a program for your mpc...

chop with your ears not with your eyes....seeing the wave only gives you an idea of where the transients are. to find the loop, you gotta use your ears...

i used pro tools to edit my chops, but than i jus send the wav to the mpc and actually finish the rest in the mpc
