Sup FP,

I was wondering how do peeps go about layering samples on top of each other. Like for instance Pete Rock is probably the most famous for doing it. He'd have sounds from all different records on one beat. To make it work, I would assume EQ'ing, and reverb plays a part. Anything else? Thanks!!

tune then timestretch (unless one shot then just tune). knowing a litlte music theory doesnt help for example, ill take a string loop and kno its in a minor key then find another instreumtn that compliments it maybe some vibes, and find them on a record where they play a minor melody then tune to the other one and timestretch if the timing is off and then bam
