hey ive been trying to incorporate guitar riffs through my beats lately. im using an epiphone hooked through to the recording part on the computer. i just have like a small cable thing attached to my guitar cable that allows me to put in through to the computer. but when i record, everytime i hit a note, it makes a static noise that really makes it sounds ugly. so i was wondering if anyone has had trouble with this or has a solution? thanks

Maybe it's just too much for your soundcard.
Use asio drivers, they run alot smoother then the default. lf you still hear crackelings in your sound, go mess with the buffer in ASIO untill it's right.

buy a toneport. they're like 50 bucks. Will make everything easier including a made for guitar noise gate.

i have an asio4all right now. its still making that crackling sound.

as far as a toneport, ive seen the line6 guitarport, looks pretty tight to me. could i use that with other software like FL or reason?

Yep. I'm buying one just for the model packs. I have a line 6 pod x3 too but the tone port is sweet. I mean 50 buck NEW!? for all those effects and amps? Wow.

If you already have protools and a interface you can use that and just open up protools and use the gearboxplugin. As for using the tone port as a interface no. Effects yes.
