I have a hard time flippin samples with drums on it. Can anybody help me with this.

filtering out the drums...is what you need to practice... You will def. have to cut some of the low freq. to subdue the kick. You will also have to narrow the sound of the snare and hats. Obviously the hats are in the upper freq. range. Snare you'll have to play with a bit.

Use a graphic/parametric eq to experiment with it. You will not be able to totally take the drums out, but you can lower them in volume and intensity to make room for your own sounds. That's the main thing to keep in mind...making room for what you plan to add. Oh yeah, keep in mind the more you eq (cut freq) the thinner you sample will sound. Going too far will take away from the feel of the sample...not eq enough will leave sounds and freq. to clash with other.

It is a balancing act and some samples work better than others in particular circumstances...good luck

depend on how loud the drums are, you wont always need to EQ. at that point, its just all about finding the right pitch and tempo for the sample...
