Whats up FP. i have a question bout sampling records. i have a turntable that is hooked up to my mac wit the line in and the volume coming into my computer was very low. then i went out and got a preamp and that fixed it for a while and i sampled some sounds from a few records using final vinyl. I was having problems with a buzz because i didnt know where to ground the turntables since the preamp didnt have anywhere for it and I didnt know where to put it on the computer(macbook).
I disconnected the turntables for about a week and now i hooked it back up and with the preamp the input is coming in really loud and the quality was real bad. so i put the tts back directly to my computer and they worked but the buzz was still there. i touched the ground wire directly to the RCA plugs and that reduced it but now that the humm stopped i see that the left output has no real sound and the right output is where the sound is coming from.
First question i have is where should I connect the ground cable? I am really lost with that one.
Second, is it ok to just sample sounds with the one input?
I dont know if i should just try to work wit the Numark i have or just look for another one.
