Also, anyone ever used a regular guitar to play out their basslines (would probably need low-pass eq and maybe compression)?

I do man...

Most of my stuff is recorded through a DI box into the mixer right into logic, and then I apply my effects through NI guitar rig.

I don't do much RnB yet, but I have a couple tracks with my acoustic, my electric, and my bass. Most of my basses are with my bass.

if you want to use your electric guitar (6) string as a bass, low pass won't cut it...transpose an octave down!

I HATE PEOPLE THAT PLAY GUITAR PIECES ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN A GUITAR!

right.. now thats off my chest.. Yeah.. I do. Anyone that uses guitar presets on a fantom should be shot point blank.

People now a days are to DAM lazy to LEARN the guitar.

a must if you plan on being in the industry.

LEARN GUITAR BASS AND DRUMS AND PIANO

7 years later.

I'm a better musician.
